What lies ahead before me...?

Well, there's not much to report from across the pond and half the world away (though I don't really think I'm half a world away...I failed geology). I can give a weather forecast. It's been: rain, rain, partly cloudy, rain, some more rain, and a bit of sun peaking through the thick fluffy rainclouds. However, it's not really been too bad. My sister is still working, but that has given me some time to look for a job for when I get back stateside! (Hence the title.) Other than feeling I don't think I'll actually accomplish becoming a member of my dream industry, I'm kinda actually excited to be applying for jobs. Okay, so I haven't applied to any yet, but I found one place that would be PERFECT to work at because it consists of a bit of ghostwriting but mostly editing and getting books published for people. On one level I think I could so do it...on another I'm scared to death and think I'm not even qualified. I guess this is part of growing up. I just hope I can find something and soon.

So back to Germany...as this blog was set up for my adventures around the world.

Wednesday I went on a field trip with my sister. She works at a child care center and is leader of her own class. We went to a bird show. It was interesting for the first fifteen minutes but they seemed to just be showing us the same tricks over and over and over again. However, I did get some great pictures! I had never seen a vulture up so close before! Now I have a few pictures. The same with a bald eagle! My camera is awesome! I got a lot of great pictures of the birds flying that turned out great, if I do say so myself. Now I'm just waiting for my cord to show up still...silly me for thinking I had it in my camera bag with my camera! I should have checked. oh well. All reading this blog will just have to wait until I can either show my pictures in person or just wait until I get the cord to put them up on here! :D

Then Thursday Marie and I just stayed inside, enjoyed a little bit of piece and quiet and relaxation. Last night we went shopping and I got a cute new dress and shirt (I'm not a big shopper...) and Marie got a few new shirts. Then we went out to have some dinner with a few of Marie's friends from work. It was a lot of fun!

Today we didn't do much either. We slept in until about nine then went to see a yellow palace (personally I think it needed another paint job...) and then we walked a LOT to see a monastery. We never made it to that palace, we got lost. Oh well. We still have two more weeks and neither of us seem to be adventurous enough to get out of Bamberg. Marie because she has to work and me because I know nothing of the surrounding area. I guess I could look up some information online, but that still doesn't stop Marie from working and not having the time to get places that all close by 8 pm. (I know! CRAZY!!!)

Well, that's all for now, folks! -meepmeep- ;D

Looking for a job/career is a daunting task. Don't give up! You'll do great! Don't ever say that you're not good enough for a job, try for it anyway. The worst they can ever do is not call you back after an interview.

Anyway, I'm glad you're having fun there in Germany. I really can't wait to see your pictures someday. Have you met any hot European guys that you wouldn't mind sending home to me? Keep having fun!

You could so totally be a ghostwriter/editor. And should go for it. -nods- No sense in not trying something because you're afraid of rejection! Tasha's right. The worst thing that can happen is that you won't hear back.

I want to see a picture of this Hans fellow...too bad you don't have the USB cable thingy.
